Lorong Cendol Pontian-347,Jalan Bakek Kampung Atap 82000 Pontian Johor
Cendol is a very common dessert in South East Asia. For example in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and so on. So today we would like to introduce a popular and traditional version of cendol which located in Pontian Johor.
Lorong cendol Pontian is a cendol that is quite famous in Pontian among the locals and Singaporean. Every weekend there are many tourist from Singapore that travel to Pontian will having their cendol at Lorong Cendol Pontian before they going back to Singapore. The main ingredients of that cendol are gula melaka (palm sugar), red beans coconut milk, green jelly that made by rice and tapioca flour with green colouring or pandan leaf juice and shaved ice. So the unique of the cendol that sold at Lorong Cendol Pontian is the sweetness of the gula melaka (palm sugar). It is because the gula melaka that put by the seller are very generous and the gula melaka are very thick. So, this sweetness made the taste of whole bowl of the cendol become more delicious.
Finally, the price for normal size of cendol is RM2.00, that without red beans is RM1.70 and family size which is RM10.00 that can be serve for 5 to 7 person. As a conclusion I encourage the person
who travel or past by Pontian District should try the cendol that sold at Lorong Cendol Pontian.
